Welcome to our little corner of the internet. We’re so glad you’re here.

We thought we’d kick things off with a proper introduction — and maybe a little backstory for those of you who might not know how this whole adventure began.

We’re Jerry and Nick. We both landed in New York City in the 1970s — just a couple of Midwestern guys looking for something more. Jerry hails from Wisconsin, and Nick came from Ohio. Somehow, the city worked its magic, and we found each other. We started as friends, sharing our lives, our stories, and more than a few nights out in this big, wild city.

Eventually, circumstances led us in different directions. Nick moved out to California to be closer to family, while Jerry stayed in New York, which he’ll insist, is still the best city on earth. Quite frankly, he’s not wrong. But even with the miles between us, we never lost touch. We talked constantly. We kept showing up for each other, year after year.

Then came October 2023. Jerry flew out to visit Nick in Laguna Beach, California — the first face to face in nearly a decade. Nick took one look at Jerry and exclaimed, “Oh! It’s YOU.”

And Jerry, ever the charmer, smiled and said, “Yes, Darling.”

By January of 2024, Nick had sold his place in Laguna and moved back to New York. And on Oct. 13, 2024, we got married. In the city where it all started. Surrounded by the people we love most.

Our wedding was filled with music (Broadway friends and members of the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus), heartfelt moments from family (shout-out to our amazing wedding party!), and boatloads of joy. We’re still floating from it.

This blog is a space where we’ll share stories, thoughts, some behind-the-scenes photos, and reflections on the videos and snapshots that captured our day. Sometimes we’ll post together, sometimes solo — but always with love (and a little humor).
